You don’t need to be bored to sleep by us listing out lots of stuff you’d rather not read.
What you really want to know is – are we a good fit for you?
Let’s start by telling you, we started in financial services many years ago, and still deliver financial advice through our sister company, Copthorne Financial Services.
But we soon realised that Wills, Trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney in particular all go hand in hand with financial advice. So, setting up a business to deliver those services seemed like the sensible solution, hence here we are.
You don’t want to be bombarded with minutiae – we are here to sort the detail, working in association with Legacy Legal Ltd.
Meet the team
Nick has a Batchelor of Education degree, and wanted to be a PE teacher when he left school. He played National League basketball for Camden, Chiltern and Chessington Wildcats.
Nick’s change of career started in 1984, when he worked for Legal and General, where he became a fully qualified Financial Adviser.
He founded Copthorne Financial Services in January 2007. Nick is very passionate about client delivery – focusing on what clients really need to live their best lives.
Outside of work, Nick is a keen golfer, and enjoys watching sports too, particularly football, rugby and cricket. He is married and has two young children – Laura and Harry.
Zoe is the Business Manager for Copthorne, handling a wide variety of tasks from HR to ongoing client casework.
She joined the business in May 2014, and is working towards her paraplanner qualifications.
Zoe is a very keen traveller, and has visited 27 countries so far with her partner. She is learning Spanish, which should be handy for future trips.
Zoe also loves cooking and baking.
Russell is our fully qualified mortgage expert, and particularly enjoys a challenge – he says he is very rarely stumped! He has even arranged finance on a Dutch narrow boat.
He joined the profession in 1988, when he started working for Prudential.
Russell has a growing family he enjoys spending time with, as well as walking his chocolate Labrador – although not in the rain!
Russell is also a golfer, though he maintains his swing needs some improvement, and he likes watching sport, particularly his football team – Chelsea.
Mandy has also been in financial services for some years, and joined us in 2012.
She supports Russell, processing mortgage applications and protection policies. A large part of her role involves liaison with lenders, lawyers and estate agents.
Mandy enjoys supporting clients during a time which is often quite stressful – buying a property – trying to make it as pain free as possible.
In her spare time Mandy enjoys spending time with friends and family, travelling and walking.
Karen has worked in the financial services sector since 2007, and joined us in 2014.
Her role is admin focused, with a bias towards accounts, working with the accountants, and also preparing data for FCA reporting.
Karen is married with a son and daughter, both of whom also work in finance. She loves spending time with her family, and walking her daughter’s French Bulldog.
She enjoys visiting the theatre and cinema, reading and watching dramas on TV. She is also a huge tennis fan; and is glued when Wimbledon is on.
Dan joined us in October 2019, and would like to become a qualified financial adviser. He is keen to focus on mortgages, protection and Wills.
He is always inspired by the opportunity to help clients get the best out of their lives, as well as protecting their families.
Dan enjoys spending time with his partner and young daughter.
He likes to play football, as well as watching it.
Barwell came on board in February 2019 and is working towards becoming a fully qualified financial adviser.
He likes working with our clients to help them achieve their financial goals.
Barwell has recently become a dog owner, and enjoys taking his Labrador for long walks. He is also a keen sports fan – watching football and rugby. He also loves skiing.
You want to be confident that you are protecting your family, your assets and your estate. You want to know you will be cared for, should you need support, and you’re unable to speak for yourself.
Above all, you want to know you can trust somebody to make all of this happen for you, so you can concentrate on living your best life. And that’s exactly what we can do for you.
Instead of building dreams, we want you to build memories. We’ll help you to turn your dreams into reality.
Create that bucket list, and let’s talk about how you can start ticking off your list…
